The best Japanese dumplings in Kaohsiung! I’m a fan of Japanese cuisine myself, and I absolutely love dining at Tetsui Family no matter when.
I even brought a Japanese friend to taste their food once, and he said it was incredibly delicious! He really enjoyed it.
The fact that it’s Japanese-approved is a big deal! I’ll definitely have to visit several times.
What’s even more interesting is that I’ve run into familiar faces several times at this place – it seems like great minds think alike!

Environment
The place is filled with Japanese-style decor, with brick and barrels as the design theme, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
Every time I go there, I can’t help but wonder what kind of creativity it takes to come up with using these items as dining tables!

The sauce station is self-service, and when it comes to eating dumplings, you just have to pair them with soy sauce, right?

餐點
As the saying goes:
In every steamed hot pot, there resides a grandpa
no one has ever said it that way.
Must-Try Item 1: Steamed Hot Pot
I have to say I’m a huge fan of steamed hot pots, and in this day and age, it’s rare to find a place that serves them. I almost exclusively come to Tetsui Family for their steamed hot pot!
It’s so delicious, especially when you enjoy it during the winter. It’s a true taste of happiness!

Must-Try Item 2: Assorted Handmade Pan-fried Dumplings
I’m not quite sure about the difference between pan-fried and fried dumplings, but don’t underestimate this dish that looks like a diverse assortment. It’s truly unique!
Incredibly tasty, especially when you hear from experts that when it comes to Japanese dumplings, you must savor the crispy edges, which are reminiscent of a crispy pancake. It’s really, really delicious!

Other dishes are fantastic as well – there’s really no need to worry about disappointment.
This time, I also ordered steamed egg, while my friend ordered Moon-Viewing Stir-Fried Noodles and shrimp rolls! With so many items and just around 200 NT dollars per person, it’s incredibly cost-effective!
The prices are reasonable, and the value for money is outstanding! I highly recommend it to all Japanese cuisine enthusiasts!
